EU-Projekt: Agent of Change gestartet

Mit der Initiative „Agent of Change“ beginnt das letzte Jahr des im Rahmen von Erasmus+ mitfinanzierten Projekts mit dem Thema „Good Governance“ (Gute Unternehmensführung). Vorrangiges Ziel ist es dabei, Sportorganisationen so zu stärken, dass ihre Akzeptanz und Attraktivität gegenüber möglichen Finanzierungspartnern weiter steigt.

Seit Januar 2019 arbeitet der TSV Bayer 04 in Person von TSV-Projektleiter Uwe Pulsfort und Richard Seifert in dem Projekt mit. Die insgesamt neun Partner aus fünf Nationen, darunter fünf Mehrspartensportvereine, haben dabei zunächst Grundlagenarbeit betrieben, z. B. um Best Practice Modelle zu identifizieren und ein Evaluierungstool zu entwerfen.

Aktuell liegt der Fokus auf der Initiative „Agent of Change“ – einem Austausch der beteiligten Sportclubs mit Sponsoren. Der TSV Bayer 04 wird in diesem Programm primär von Lukas Bellmann vertreten, der gemeinsam mit Uwe Pulsfort ausgewählte Good Governance-Aspekte mit der Bayer AG thematisiert. Mit Thomas Pfennig, Global Head of Compliance & Data Privacy, gibt ihnen ein Fachmann auf dem Gebiet Einblicke in die „Governance“ eines Weltkonzerns. Themen wie Interessenskonflikte, Transparenz und Leitbild stehen dabei ebenso auf der Agenda wie zum Beispiel Drittparteienprüfung und Geschenkevergabe. „Ziel der Initiative Agent of Change ist es, das Vertrauen in die jeweils andere Seite zu stärken. Für uns war es dabei ein absoluter Glücksfall, dass unser Anliegen bei der Bayer AG so hoch aufgehängt wird und wir viele wertvolle Anregungen mitnehmen konnten“, erklärt Projektleiter Uwe Pulsfort. Seit Dezember gibt es regelmäßige virtuelle Treffen. Die gewonnenen Informationen werden im nächsten Schritt mit den übrigen Projektpartnern geteilt, so dass die verschiedenen Ansätze zusammengefasst und bei den nächsten Schritten berücksichtigt werden können.

Parallel vorangetrieben wird die Entwicklung der elektronischen Plattform, auf der jeder Verein zukünftig seinen eigenen Stand zum Thema Good Governance überprüfen kann und wo bis voraussichtlich Mitte 2021 Best Practice Beispiele, Schulungsmaterialien, Videos etc. eingepflegt und öffentlich zugänglich sein sollen.

EU project BIG4SPORTS: "Agent of Change" launched

The EU project BIG4SPORTS, in which TSV Bayer 04 is also involved, is entering its final phase. The "Agent of Change" initiative marks the start of the final year of the project, which is co-funded under Erasmus+, with the theme of "Good Governance". The primary goal here is to strengthen sports organizations in such a way as to further increase their acceptance and attractiveness to potential funding partners.

TSV Bayer 04 has been involved in the project since January 2019 in the person of TSV-project manager Uwe Pulsfort and Richard Seifert. The total of nine partners from five nations, including five multi-discipline sports clubs, initially carried out basic work, e.g. to identify best practice models and design an evaluation tool.

Currently, the focus is on the "Agent of Change" initiative - an exchange between the participating sports clubs and sponsors. TSV Bayer 04 is primarily represented in this program by Lukas Bellmann, who, together with Uwe Pulsfort, is addressing selected good governance aspects with Bayer AG. With Thomas Pfennig, Global Head of Compliance & Data Privacy, an expert in the field will give them insights into the "governance" of a global corporation. Topics such as conflicts of interest, transparency and mission statement are on the agenda, as are, for example, third party audits and gift giving. "The aim of the Agent of Change initiative is to strengthen trust in each other. For us, it was an absolute stroke of luck that our concern was given such high priority at Bayer AG and that we were able to take away many valuable suggestions," explains project manager Uwe Pulsfort. Regular virtual meetings have been held since December. The information gained will be shared with the other project partners in the next step, so that the various approaches can be summarized and taken into account in the next steps.

In parallel, the development of the electronic platform is being driven forward, on which every association will be able to check its own status on the topic of good governance in the future and where best practice examples, training materials, videos, etc. are to be entered and made publicly accessible by probably mid-2021.
